Yaroslav “Yarik” Rudich is a fan of the football club “Desna” (Chernihiv), a representative of the team “Parny SS”.
Yaroslav Vitalievich Rudich was born on January 30, 1995 in the city of Chernihiv. He studied at school No. 29, after which he received higher pedagogical education at the National University “Chernihiv Collegium” named after him. VOL. G. Shevchenko. He also graduated from Lviv Higher Professional Art School with a specialization in painting. His main sports preference was martial arts, he preferred boxing and deservedly defended the honor of his city in the ring.
From an early age he played for the local football team “Desna”, and since 2011 he began to attend home and away matches in the fan sectors. He joined the first team of the football team “Parny Severnaya Stolitsa”, immediately after its formation by a group of old friends. In the following years, the Chernihiv team gains such fame that it is acceptable to fight with anyone, and the name of the opponent does not mean anything. Teammates remember Yaroslav as a fighter who had a remarkable character. Being light in weight, he literally bit into his opponents.
He became an active participant in the Revolution of Dignity immediately after its beginning. With the outbreak of the war in the East in 2014, Yarik went to the front as part of the volunteer battalion “Shakhtarsk”. Then there was service in OUN (2015-16), and from 2020 he joined the ranks of the 1st Separate Marine Battalion (36 OBRMP). In the interval between 2016-20, he traveled the country, studied and worked in parallel.
While studying in Lviv, he met his true love - the talented artist Ekaterina Skladanovska. They loved each other and planned to get married. But in civilian life “Yarik” never found himself. He was a very principled man and he was always confident when there was a war in the country — his place was on the front.
On December 27, 2021, in the village of Gnutove, near Mariupol, an enemy drone dropped the VOG under Yaroslav's feet. From the explosion, he received complex damage, shattered bones with fragments. Subsequently, he underwent several complicated operations. Since then, he has moved with the help of crutches. The last operation was in May 2022, but Yaroslav was not satisfied with it and believed that it did not benefit him. He also missed the times of his football youth, sending friends photos from the hospital in the same pants in which he once rode to matches and fan fights.
“Yarik” was afraid that he would be commiserated and he would not be able to return to service. Around the same time, his entire platoon was broken up in Mariupol. A few people remained alive, and they were captured. Being practically bedridden, in his last month he often repeated that he had been waiting for a full-scale war all 8 years, had been preparing for it, so he had to be with his brothers in Mariupol. Yaroslav Rudych died on June 3, 2022.
- “And the smile from his face did not come off almost until the last day... With the same smile I will continue our common cause” - his twin brother Vladimir recalls Yaroslava.
