Svyatoslav “Svyat” Aleksapolsky is a fan of the football club “Tavria” (Simferopol).

Svyatoslav Nikolayevich Aleksapolsky was born on October 30, 1989 in the city of Saky (Autonomous Republic of Crimea). He studied in Ukrainian classes of Crimean schools and Crimean Republican boarding school for gifted children in the village. Tank (Bakhchisarai district), where subjects were taught in English. In 1999-2001 he studied chess at Simferopol Chess Club. Love for this game will remain with him for life, he even planned to get a Master of Sports in Chess. In addition, he was actively engaged in hiking, regularly went hiking in the Crimean Mountains, and in high school he spent summer holidays in the camp near Mount Ilza, near Slavsky. As a teenager, he created a Simferopol team with like-minded people, with which they actively and successfully engaged in parkour. In different years he was engaged in boxing, Greco-Roman wrestling, karate, kickboxing, Thai boxing, pancration and BZH.

But football was of particular great importance in the life of Svyatoslav. His mother recalls that since childhood his son was very restless. The father, who was a “walking encyclopedia”, told his son: what kind of game it is - “football” and what are its rules. After that, the boy always tried to play with older children. At first, they chased the kid, but since Sviatoslav knew the rules of this game perfectly and talked about championships and international tournaments with knowledge of the case, the seniors began to take him to their team from the 5th grade. In 2005, Svyat first appeared on the stands of Lokomotiv Stadium in Simferopol, and made his first combat appearance for Tavria in autumn 2006 to Mariupol. From 2008 to 2012 he was a member of the DSS team (Simferopol), who was the first among the Crimeans to defeat rivals from Odessa during the agreed meeting. Subsequently, he was a regular participant in the training of the young team “Young boys”. At the same time, he did not miss any opportunity to play football. In Simferopol, he gathered teams for joint games, and after leaving the annexed Crimea, in Lviv and Kiev, he was looking for someone to join.

After 1 year in the summer of 2008, he went to work and intern at the Work&Travel USA program in Montana, where he earned money for his second year at the university. In October 2009, he decided to go on military service, so he switched to part-time study. Was sent to the ship 3027 “Bars” town. Novi Petrovtsi. In 2010, he served under a contract as a scout of a special purpose reconnaissance company of a special purpose battalion, w/h 3009 of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Simferopol. In 2011, during the service, he took the course “Techniques of professional intervention” from the French gendarmerie le Centre National d'Entralnement des Force de Gendarmerie (CNEFG) de Saint-Astier. In 2012, he received his degree in Tourism Studies at the Crimean Faculty of the Kyiv National University of Culture and Arts, had a certificate “tourist guide with knowledge of English”. He was independent and wanted to see the world, in 2013 he received a seaman's passport. He visited many cities of Ukraine, dreamed of future travels around the world, under the impression of the books read by R. Sabatini about the adventures of Captain Blood, the travels of the characters of J. London, and J. Verna. He managed to travel to America, Hungary, Austria, Italy, Montenegro and Croatia.

In 2012, Sviatoslav and his friends came to Nikolaev to perform at the martial arts tournament “I'm Coming to You”. Then there was an acquaintance with the guys of ultras Nikolaev. From 2012 until recently - one of the leaders of the Simferopol fan movement and representative of “Tavrida Boys”. Sviatoslav has always loved his country and has not been afraid to fight for it since the days of Euromaidan. Despite threats and intimidation, he defended Ukrainian statehood in Crimea in every way. Together with friends and teammates, they communicated with director Oleg Sentsov, planned further opposition to hostile expansion. He took an active part in all pro-Ukrainian actions and protected peaceful protesters from tituskas and goats imported from Russia, who pretended to be pro-Russian-minded Crimeans. After one of the marches in Simferopol, they planned to demolish the monument to Lenin, near which Tatars were already rallying. But they then supported their speakers, who asked the ultras “not to provoke” and give 7 days for the authorities to do it themselves. They tried to go to the capital Maidan, but fell under the cover of traitorous collaborators. “Saints” and his friends were declared Eurovandals and terrorists by the Russian FSB. Mom saw a photo of her son on the poles of the Kiev district of the city, the same photos were spun between advertising on the monitors of Simferopol trolleybuses. Employees of the local SBU began to come home to talk. Therefore, worrying about safety, he took the family to Lviv.

Svyatoslav had a high motivation to defend the Motherland and joined the “Azov”, was in the 4th battalion of the 2nd company, but at that time the guys were taken out of the combat zone in the PPD for a long time. When he returned to Lviv, he actively participated in the activities of the Ecocorpus and went on raids on mobile zoos and circuses, protected and helped animals. He continued to rescue animals in combat zones in the East and South. In the fall of 2016, he joined the team “Ze Radiola Team Lviv”, played in the championships of Ukraine in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and in February 2017 he received his first medal. He studied blacksmithing and welding, working in a Lviv forge. It was at this time that he made his first tattoo: a blacksmith forging a star in the universe. In the summer of 2017, Sviatoslav went on a contract to the 25th OPdBR. I was upset because during the service it was no longer possible to train regularly in the hall, to perform at championships. Even while in the combat zone, he searched for new techniques on the Internet, organized with his brothers and worked. In the future, he dreamed of getting a black belt and teaching BZH as many children as possible in Ukraine free from the invaders.

He had an offer to train children in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in Lviv, but he transferred to the 95th OSHBR and moved to Kiev to meet his bride, with whom they had many plans for the future. In 2019, he passed the course “Professional training of the combat medic of the platoon”. The course was conducted under the supervision of Canadian instructors. During his service in the landing, he was happy to parachute for himself and his comrades, had about 15 jumps. When he was at home - he continued to do jogging and BZH, became a student at the Rocket Jiu-Jitsu School. He set a goal to get into the IT field. To do this, he found courses on his own, and in June 2021 he worked for Solvd Inc., was a QA engineer on the Under Armour project. He showed many that it is never too late to develop oneself, to become stronger, to change one's own life. At the same time, the “Saints” were aware and warned about the coming great war. Prepared for this myself and tried to share his skills and knowledge with loved ones and everyone who wanted. He said that everyone should have their own military equipment and weapons so as not to lose time in the event of a start.

From the first days of a full-scale war, he again stood in defense of our State. He had extensive combat experience, so he actively conducted professional training of members of volunteer formations, together with whom he took direct part in the liberation of the Kiev region. When the fighting in Kyiv region was over, having gathered a group of Crimeans, they went to the aid of friends from Nikolaev, where they joined the volunteer unit “Buzkiy Guard” and all together joined the reconnaissance platoon of the 220th Bat 126 Troo Brigade. Brother Ilya recalls: - “After the rocket hit the building of the Nikolaev Regional State Administration, having learned about the death of a significant part of his friends from among local volunteers, Sviatoslav gathered a group and arrived in Nikolaev to his brothers. Buduchi as a part of volunteers worked on the sections of the southern front in N.P. Pervomaiske, Partizanskoe, was engaged in reconnaissance on sites in the districts of N.P. Nova Zaria and Tavriyske. During one of the reconnaissance operations, the tank hit a car of the Sviatoslav group in the area of the National Park. White Well, and he himself provided emergency assistance to the commander of the Btgr, who was wounded and brought the group out of the hit zone.”

He performed exemplary duties as a platoon commander, having performed many courageous acts, remained simple, he could always be contacted with any question. Since the month of March, he has become a real leader for his brothers. In the summer he graduated from the military department under the WHO “Organization of Moral and Psychological Support” with the title of junior lieutenant of the reserve (officer-psychologist). He remembered his native Crimea and its occupation and dreamed of expelling the enemy and separatists from the peninsula. Svyatoslav Aleksapolsky fought on August 29, 2022. During the counteroffensive in the south of Ukraine, providing fire support to an assault group consisting of a sniper pair, five enemy personnel were destroyed. Seeing that part of the personnel of the unit's battle group was under heavy fire and hesitated, not reaching 50 m to the enemy trenches, due to the severe wounding of their commander, the “Saints” made the courageous decision to come to the aid of the brethren. By his own example, he raised a unit for a breakthrough at the final stage of the assault of the enemy. And it was here, between Novohryhorivka and Lyubomyrivka (Mykolaiv region) in battle, trying to save the life of another fighter, that he received shrapnel wounds incompatible with life from a cassette shell.

Thus died the Warrior, who until the last was with his brethren. Constantly striving for change and development for our country. He was brave and stayed true to his convictions, not in words, but in deeds.
