Oleksandr “Adams” Derevyanko is a fan of football clubs “Dnipro” (Cherkasy) and “Dynamo” (Kyiv), representative of the team “Albatross” (“Dynamo”).
Alexander Anatolyevich Derevyanko was born on November 23, 1997 Born in the city. She lived in the Cherkasy region, where she spent her childhood until the age of 10. He went to the first grade of school number 12, in which he studied until the third quarter of grade 4. The next 5 years he lived in the village. Voznesenske, Zolotonosky district. He studied at the Voznesensk secondary school, the class leader was Vladimir Nikolayevich Makarenko, who began to instill a love for Ukrainianism and patriotism. It was there that he became fond of football, so he played in the school, and then in the village team. After the 9th grade, he entered the Cherkasy Commercial Technical School, went to the full-time department, moved to the city. Cherkasy. He studied food production from 2013 to 2017.
Coming to the stands, in 2014, at the age of 16, he immediately joined the fan sector of the Cherkasy club, which became a second family for him, supported the team in almost all home and away matches, from where his conscious and adult life path began. Having joined the team “Lyutychi”, which gathered representatives of the younger generation of Cherkasy football, he tried to develop a fan movement among the youth. In 2016/17 he broke through, together with a friend “Golden Season” for “Dnipro Cherkasy”. “Gold” for Alexander and his companion was filled with a variety of fun and interesting moments. By the way, after the first themes, he chose the pseudonym “Kazimir”, this is a kind of allegory with the artist Kazimir Malevich, because he painted pictures, and Alexander wanted to “draw” the faces of opponents on the themes, so he began to constantly visit the sports halls of the city. He was engaged in MMA, boxing and sambo. Obtaining prose places at competitions - he surprised the coaches with his progress, because he began to practice from an adult age. It was at this time that the tattoo “Crepche Steel” appears on his chest.
After graduating from a technical school, because of sports and respect for the deceased fan Ambrose, to whom he was equal, Alexander joined the local branch of the “National Corps”, from where he was invited to work in the Azovets children's camp in Kiev. The work was easy, because the young man loved children and watched with care how they became stronger in the camp. Since then, he has lived in Kiev, joined Dynamo fans, visited the sector. The first “theme” took place at the exit, in the capital of the Czech Republic - the city. Prague, thanks to his comrade Kudo Casimir got into the team “Albatross”, where he quickly became his active and important member. Importantly, owing his return to training and fights, Alexander quickly earned respect and love in the new team.
Nevertheless, he constantly returned to Cherkassy, since in parallel with the camp he studied in the Cherkasy branch of the “European University” at the part-time department, obtained a Bachelor's degree in Management. He received his diploma in 2020. In 2019, he joined the ranks of “National Wives”, where he served for a year before the service, so most of the time he lived in Kyiv. All this time since 2017, he continued to participate in wrestling competitions in different cities of the state.
In September 2020, Alexander became a fighter of the Azov regiment, having previously passed a difficult selection, where he received the call sign “Adams”. He served in the infantry company, was the gunner of the armored car “Spartan”. In parallel with this, he did not forget to improve in martial arts, participated in competitions among the Azovites, often finding himself among the prize places.
He met the beginning of a full-scale war in Mariupol, where by that time he had been living for two years. As Alexander's mother recalls, since March 1, communication with her son was only 30 seconds a day. During those half minutes, he reported that he was alive and asked if Kiev had survived. The news that the capital did not take advantage of the enemy - gave the fighters strength and inspiration to continue the fight. At that time, fierce battles were already raging in the city.
The brother of “Adams” with the nickname “Kraft”, who was with him in Mariupol, mentions the following:
“After the alarm exit on February 24 to the concentration area, we met in the early days of March, when we stood at the same position. There, already during shelling and contacts with the enemy, I saw that he became even bolder, constantly tried to look for positive things in situations, and joked a lot, because jokes were a cure for fear, and raised the fighting spirit.
I am happy that I passed with him the way from submitting documents to the Azov OZSP to fighting in one line against the orcs, who came to seize our land and destroy the very concept of Ukraine”
A friend of “Adams” says:
“At the last meeting, Sasha was happy. He lived and enjoyed what a holy mission he was carrying out to protect his Motherland. In the early days, he recorded voice-overs how he was already beating enemies. He said that he is already on the verge of measurements, but everything will definitely be fine. That's how he was, until the last day — strong. Not just physically.
He was a warrior who was not afraid to suffer defeat, but only on the contrary hardened his spirit and forced him to go forward. I remember his words: “We will stand until the end, because there is no way back. No one will retreat.” I am happy to have known him. Sasha was the strongest spirit, of all that I knew and will know in life.”
“Adams” on his “Spartan” was engaged in fire cover, helping his brethren to get out of the shelling, carrying out the wounded.
Oleksandr Derevyanko died on April 3 during a combat mission. Leaving the territory of “Azovstal”, the crew reached positions on which the enemy had already surrounded the comrades. Assessing the situation, the crew decided to direct the armored car in the direction of the enemy, drawing attention to itself and opening the way to exit the encirclement of the comrades, the car came under fire from the enemy. The 24-year-old of the Ukrainian Defense Forces died saving his comrades. The body of the brave warrior was taken to the “Azovstal”. Many fighters who were evacuated from the surrounded city by helicopters, or managed to return from captivity - today they are alive precisely thanks to the second “Adams”.
In memory of Alexander, his mother, Anna Derevyanko, left boxes with some of the things that he brought after signing the contract, among which: fan stickers, sports medals, as well as his memorable T-shirts and children's drawings from the Azovets camp, where Adams once worked as a teacher. Some things and a laptop that he managed to send her shortly before the start of the Great War.
On July 19, 2022, he was awarded the Order “For Courage” of the III degree.
