Alexander “Derzky” Rusak is a fan of the football club “Dnipro”, a representative of the team “Darzost and Youth”.

Alexander Olegovich Rusak was born on October 7, 1990 in the city of Dnipro. He studied at the Dnieper school No. 80, and later received a law degree from a local university. Since childhood, Alexander was distinguished among others by a sense of justice and love for his country. From a young age, cheering for the main team of his city - he joined the fan movement, where he found many friends. The firmness of character, the thirst for change and the consolidated environment influenced the further fate of the young man. Traveling in Ukraine, Alexander absorbed her mental identity. He tried not to miss a single match of his favorite team, often fighting for the honor of his movement outside the stadium. Very little time will pass and for his strength and courage he will receive recognition and the nickname “Djerky”.

The popularity of football in the country grew every month, and a new promising youth began to form in Dnipro, who were predicted to become the next generation of the “Vanguard” - one of the strongest and most famous groups in Ukraine. Alexander was one of the brightest representatives of this youth and stood at the origins of the team “MiD”. In those years, “Derzky” consolidated around itself young hopefuls who aimed to prove to their senior comrades the seriousness of their intentions to enter the elite of Dnipro football. Everyone, in the then not too famous team, knew in person and in deed. At the same time, he had a good heart, was very fond of animals and spoke in defense of abandoned dogs. He was a great patriot of Ukraine. He would later be mentioned that he really loved his country even before it became mainstream.

When the Revolution of Dignity began, he, without hesitation, went to the main square of the capital and became one of the many representatives of the fan community who, with the selected police tins and shields, denied the criminal authorities the right of the Ukrainian people to freedom. As Alexander's mother, Mrs. Larisa, will tell later, he called from the Maidan, saying that he decided to join the protests. In July 2014, by phone, the son notified his parents that he had signed up for the volunteer battalion. At the oath, which was broadcast on television, they saw Alexander alive for the last time.

Friends recall that the decision of “Derzky” to go to defend Ukraine in the burning Donbas was lightning fast and was supported by a very concise phrase to his comrades: - “Guys, what? Are there arms, legs? Go ahead and defend the country.” Among the large number of volunteer formations, Alexander and his friends chose AZOV, which by that time had already managed to excel. In fact, it was the very first composition of “Azov”, formed from members of the nationalist group “Patriot of Ukraine”. Even at the stage of preparatory training, he became the leader not only of the Dnieper platoon, but also the leader of the entire convocation. This was facilitated by his ability to unite people who until recently supported warring clubs, and now had to perform combat tasks together. The brothers loved and respected Alexander, because he was always ready to come to the rescue. He was someone everyone could trust and a true example to many.

Summer 2014 - unstable front line, DRG occupiers in conditionally liberated cities, separatists. When the operation to liberate Ilovaysk began - “Derzky” became the one who challenged the invaders. During a reconnaissance trip on August 23, 2014 in the city of Ilovaisk, a group that included Alexander was ambushed and was fired upon with a grenade launcher. Having received too severe injuries, he was still alive for some time. Along with him, the fighters “Crazy”, “Gurza” and “Golden” were wounded. Waiting for help, Alexander's comrades managed to destroy the ambush of the invaders. But, unfortunately, that evening the volunteer gave his life for Ukraine, which he loved above all else.

On August 31, 2014, before the start of the Premier League match between “Dnipro” and “Vorskla”, fans and football players honored the memory of “Derzky” with a minute of silence, the Dnipro players went to the pre-match line up wearing black T-shirts with his portrait. In 2016, a memorial plaque was installed at the school that Alexander Rusak graduated from. In honor of “Derzky” in his native Dnipro for years, banners and graffiti with his portrait appeared, as a reminder of the brave fan who gave his life for a peaceful sky.
