Evgeny “Kremen” Zhytny is a fan of football clubs “Kremen” (Kremenchuk) and “Dynamo” (Kiev).
Evgeny Dmitrievich Zhytny was born on October 9, 1993 in the city of Kremenchuk (Poltava region). He studied at schools No. 1 and No. 14, after which he graduated from the Kremenchuk Flight College. He also got the profession of pastry chef at school number 26. Since childhood, he was fond of extreme sports, skateboarding, playing percussion instruments. As a teenager, he studied in the Win-Chun section (a traditional southern Chinese school of wushu).
At the end of zero, Evgeny began to support the Kremenchuk football club in the fan sector. The movement of the “Flint” was not too numerous, and therefore the guys often had to show considerable courage during street adventures. Teammates recall that he was the most desperate fan, and even employees of the then police sometimes suffered from his actions. In his hometown, he is remembered as a cheerful and kind person, but serious and responsible in matters related to the movement.
Having moved to Kyiv in 2011, Yevhenii entered the college of the Kyiv University of Food Technologies, and from 2012 began to visit the Kiev sector of Dynamo. This was already a more serious level of fan confrontations, where they had to show strength both in the format of agreed meetings and fights in the city. “Kremen” was a participant in events known to the general public, which in fan circles are known as “Tent”, “Train” and “Hippodrome”. Teammates remember “Kremen” as a quiet guy who tried once again not to attract attention, but bravely fought as soon as the chorus began. He was always an honest and fair friend, did not tolerate lies and was willing to give the last if he could help.
In civilian life, Eugene worked in his specialty. First - a chef in the cafe “Milk” and the restaurant “European” in his hometown, and later - in the restaurants of Kiev. After graduating in 2015, he returned to Kremenchuk and got married. In the same year, the son Leo was born. But Eugene always remembered Kiev with love, so in 2016 he moved to the capital with his family. Having visited Vyshgorod (Kiev region) - fell in love with this city, later advised his mother to move there. In 2018, Eugene and his family move to the Israeli city of Haifa, where his second son, Maxim, was born.
In those years, it was not often possible to communicate with friends from the sector, but devotion to the fan motor did not go anywhere. Teammates recall a vivid episode shortly before the start of a full-scale war, when “Kremen” arrived in Lisbon. That evening, the people of Kiev confronted the fans of the local “Benfica” and their friends from the Croatian “Hajduk”. And so Eugene first goes to the opponents during a fight in the center of the Portuguese capital, and then they all spend the night together in the police station.
According to the memories of loved ones, among the greatest hobbies in Eugene's life were cooking and traveling. He visited many European countries and studied their cuisine. The greatest dream of life was to give children a true European education.
While living abroad, Yevgeny got a promising job, but a few days after the start of the Great War, he returns to Ukraine to defend his native land together with friends from the fan movement. He told loved ones that he could not watch the news as the enemy was destroying his country. After a long wait for registration, he almost immediately comes under attack from the N.P. Nesteryanka (Zaporizhzhya region), where he loses two brothers and almost dies himself.
Taking part in the assaults near Bakhmut, “Kremen” received a bullet wound to his arm. Subsequently, he had the opportunity to leave the service, but he chose to continue to stand in defense of Ukraine. He underwent rehabilitation in Lithuania, after which he took part in several operations, about which there is not much information in open sources. During the service, he was awarded the GUR of the MOU.
Yevgeny Zhytny died on April 8, 2025 while performing a combat mission near Kupiansk (Kharkiv region). He is buried on the Alley of Glory of the Vyshgorod cemetery.
Eternal glory to the Hero!
