Yevhenii "Korotich" Korotchenko was a fan of the Dnipro football club and a member of the "Richnyi Flot" (River Fleet) supporters' group.

Yevhenii Viktorovych Korotchenko was born on May 28, 1993, in Dnipro (formerly Dnipropetrovsk). He attended School No. 5 and later continued his studies at the Dnipro Institute of Infrastructure and Transport (now the Ukrainian State University of Science and Technology). From childhood, he was passionate about space, science fiction, football, and archery. He carried his love for archery throughout his life, later organizing charity archery tournaments to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Yevhenii joined the Dnipro fan section in 2009. He was first brought to the stands during his school years by his teacher, Oleh Vasylovych, who introduced him to this world and made him fall in love with it forever. Yevhen often said that this changed his life. He was one of the most active and responsible members of the movement. He took on the duties of a capo, and after his chants, the section would drive the team forward. In 2012, he founded the "Richnyi Flot" group, whose members focused more on supporting the team.

Fellow fans remember how Zhenya always helped everyone organize away trips. He would find the best tickets, warn others about them, and look for the most efficient ways to reach the destination. When tickets were unavailable, he would pull strings. Getting someone into an overcrowded bus, finding a seat on a train that was supposedly full, or arranging a place to stay in a strange city overnight—all of this was routine for Zhenya, almost like a sport. If you needed a fake student ID, that was no problem either, because he always knew someone who could help. Most importantly, he never left anyone in trouble. If things didn't go according to plan, Zhenya wouldn't panic or disappear; he would calmly set about fixing the situation.

He aimed to reach 100 away games, so he traveled to remote villages where Dnipro played during its decline and the Second League era. He stayed with the team when it was no longer needed by anyone else. When the stands emptied, when the press forgot the club existed, and when it seemed that even the players were playing more out of inertia than belief in the future, Zhenya still showed up.

In his civilian life, he worked as a content manager for a local electronics retailer. He loved meeting new people and traveling by hitchhiking. He visited 24 countries and dreamed of reaching the ocean; he did it on his own, and nothing could stop him, not even sleeping on park benches or in the rocks. He was a person who saw no obstacles on the path to his goals.

At the start of the full-scale war, Yevhenii was abroad on another trip. However, he returned within the first few weeks with a huge suitcase of supplies for the military. He then began raising funds for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and a few months later, he joined the military, serving in the Naval Forces. He served as an information collection and processing officer on the medium reconnaissance ship "Simferopol." He was responsible, proactive, and always found the best ways to work more efficiently by leveraging technology.

In 2023, he met his future wife, Alina. They married in June 2025 and went on a honeymoon together.

On the night of August 28, 2025, the enemy struck the ship "Simferopol" at the mouth of the Danube while Yevhen was on combat duty. For the following days, Yevhenii Korotchenko and several other crew members were considered missing in action. He is buried in the cemetery in Yuzhne (Odesa region), where he lived with his wife. He was awarded the Commander-in-Chief's "For Diligent Service" badge and the Order "For Courage" of the III degree (posthumously).
