Yuriy “Tai” Osadchuk is a fan of the football club “Karpaty” (Lviv), a representative of the team “Lviv City Firm”.

Yuriy Viktorovich Osadchuk was born on May 30, 1989 in the city of Kamenka-Buzka (Lviv region). He studied at a city school, where his mother also worked as a teacher, and at the age of 13 he entered the physics and mathematics lyceum in Lviv. Being adept at learning, he loved history most of all. At some point, he even thought about studying it further, but in 2004 he entered college for the specialty “Computer Systems and Networks”. He received his higher education at the Institute of Computer Technologies, Automation and Metrology of Lviv Polytechnic National University.

Yuri started working early, and one of his first jobs, at the age of 17 during the summer holidays, was related to laying turf during football matches. When he came to the Carpathians fan movement in 2006, his teammates called him “Tai”, because at that time Yuri was engaged in Thai boxing.

In civilian life, Yuri quickly decided on his future profession. In his student years, he helped the system administrator of the school where his mother worked, worked several days a week as an administrator at the Lviv Museum of Ethnography.

In March 2011, as a 5th year student of Lviv Polytechnic, he started working in the IT-company ERAM, where he applied as a Middle Manual QA. In 2016, Yuriy moved to N-ix as Automation QA, and then became a RM. In addition, he had many hobbies: he was engaged in running, Thai boxing, swimming and jiu-jitsu, played several musical instruments - accordion, guitar, piano and cello. He independently mastered the Spanish language, and already during the full-scale war he began to learn Chinese.

He met his future wife Irina back in college, where they studied in parallel groups, and in the fall of 2011 they got married. Yuri and Irina had many plans for the future and loved to travel, preferring outdoor activities, visited many countries together.

In January 2022, Yuri was offered to leave for work in Krakow, but he decided to stay. He met the beginning of a full-scale war in his hometown, from February 24 he volunteered to defend the country. He served in the 103rd Troop Brigade, where he held the position of senior gunner of a mortar battery. The brothers recall that “Tai” was a brave warrior and a true friend. Being hardworking and athletic, he always fulfilled this word.

During his service in the army, he continued to study and improve himself in various directions. Later, the wife will tell that it was important for Yuri to always move forward, and his greatest fear was not death, but not having time to reach his limit, to stop earlier.

Yuriy Osadchuk died on October 15, 2022 while performing a combat mission in Luhansk region. Going on a mission for the fifth time, the crew blew up on a mine, the explosion of which took the lives of four of them. He was buried at Lychakiv Cemetery in Lviv.
