Yuri “Phil” Korotov is a fan of the football club “Dnipro”.

Yuri Yevgenovich Korotov was born on November 2, 1996 in the city of Dnipro. He studied at school No. 129, and in 2015 he continued his studies at the Pridnepr Energy Engineering Technical School at the Faculty “Construction and Operation of Buildings and Structures”. After that, he entered the Interregional Academy of Personnel Management, where he received his higher education at the Faculty of Finance and Banking.

Yuri's main hobby since childhood was football. He played for the youth teams “Dnipro”, “Inter” and others. At the age of 14, on his initiative, it was decided to play in the team of the city of Vladimir (formerly. Volodymyr-Volynsky, Volyn region). Then the parents were not joking whether the son had gone too far from home, because his new team played in the west of the country. However, he aspired to achieve significant success in football, and Laden was to overcome even such a distance. Relatives recall that it was this stage of the young man's life in the future that influenced the formation of his character - independent, motivated, faithful to his word and deed.

Returning to Dnipro, Yuri was captivated by the fan movement, in which he saw the support of values such as justice, honor and a healthy lifestyle. Having first come to the fan stand at the age of 16 (2013), he actively supported the team in the home and away stands, and also participated in the movement's football life.

When the events of the Revolution of Dignity began, 17-year-old Yura helped in every possible way his senior comrades who were fighting for the future of the country on the streets of the capital and his native Dnieper. It also motivated him to start boxing at his 129th school. In the period from 2016 to 2022, he led an active volunteer activity, helped children with cancer with medicines and food. Always went to meet those who needed help.

With the beginning of a full-scale war, Phil became a fighter of the SSO “Azov Kyiv”, where by that time there were already many people from the fan environment. Like the vast majority of volunteers, he was very motivated. He said that he seeks to avenge the death of his friend and teammate Denis “Skipper”. Possessing great strength of spirit, he bravely and selflessly carried out combat tasks in Donetsk region.

In the memory of loved ones will forever remain a sad story about how the wife of a friend from the fan movement gave Yuri a talisman - the shoes of her daughter, who shortly before that turned 1 year old. Yuri and his bride planned to get married in the spring of 2023 and also dreamed of children. Therefore, a family of friends gave him these tiny baby slippers with the words: - “You must return, now this is your amulet so that you have a family and a daughter.” He took this amulet to the front and wore it in his RPSC, but after his death it was not possible to find a result.

Yuriy Korotov fought on January 17, 2023 in battle with the enemy at N.P. Klishyivka in the vicinity of the city of Bakhmut, having received wounds incompatible with life, covering his comrades. He was buried in the village of Lyubimovka (Dnipropetrovsk region).
