Yaroslav “Kholm” Kholmogorov is a fan of the football club CSKA (Kyiv), a representative of the team “Army Legion”.

Yaroslav Leonidovich Kholmogorov was born on December 19, 1988 in the city of Irpin (Kiev region), and when he was 8 years old, his family moved to Kiev. He studied at school No. 83, as well as at the State University named after him. Dragomanov. Since childhood, he was fond of football, judo, drew graffiti, wrote rap. The main interest was wrestling, he was a candidate for masters of sports in combat sambo.

He began to cheer for the capital CSKA in 2008. Yaroslav was one of a cohort of hooligans who blocked the team's matches in the First League. His character and dedication to the fan cause is evidenced by the case of the fight against the fans of Minsk “Dynamo”. With a facial injury, Yaroslav went all out with his friends and fought wearing a protective face mask similar to those often used by athletes after injuries. Among the football community, this is a rare occurrence.

In civilian life, Yaroslav worked in real estate, had extensive experience, opened his agency. For a long time he was engaged in crossfit, in which he achieved remarkable success, often participated in competitions and was known among the crossfit community of Kiev and not only. He was engaged in jiu-jitsu in one of the capital's clubs, swimming, participated in cycling.

In 2015, Yaroslav married his beloved Marina. The next year they had a son Yaromir, and in 2021 - daughter Yasna. The wife recalls that the husband was a very caring and loving father, he devoted almost all his free time to the family.

Teammates will remember Yaroslav as a faithful friend, always ready to come to the rescue. With two children, work and training, he found time to participate in football activities.

As a full-scale war approached, he received information with the exact date of its beginning and alerted friends. Even during the defense of the capital, he joined the ranks of the Azov-Kyiv TRO, and later went with his brothers to the Zaporizhzhya direction.

According to the memories of his brothers, “Holm” adequately endured all the difficulties of being a soldier, and therefore later was sent to officer courses. He also entered the National Aviation University, where he studied part-time in the specialty “Law Enforcement Activities”, which was necessary for obtaining the rank of officer.

Already during the Bakhmut Campaign, he commanded a platoon as part of the 1st company of the 3rd OSHBR anti-tank battalion. Yaroslav Kholmogorov died on June 19, 2023 while performing a combat mission in southern Bakhmut. The warrior has 34 years left forever.
