Vladimir “Krupa” Krupsky is a fan of the football club “Chernomorets” (Odessa), a representative of the team “Segedka”.
Vladimir Andreevich Krupsky was born on April 26, 1992 in St. Petersburg. When he was 7 years old, the family moved to Odessa, where he just went to the 1st grade of the Primary School “Future”. Later he went to school #59, where he studied in a sports (football) class, and after graduating from it, he received a higher education at the Odessa International Humanitarian University with a degree in International Economic Relations.
Since childhood, Vladimir's main hobby was football. At the age of 11, he himself decided to attend the section, thus choosing the future path. I always dreamed of Ukraine hosting such matches as in England and Spain.
He got to the fan stand of “Chernomorets” for the first time in the 2007/08 season. He began his fan journey in the band “Duke's Band”. In 2010, the team “Segedka” was created, and two years later “Krupa” joined it. It will take several years, and the participants of this team will set themselves the highest goals among the football scene of Ukraine.
Teammates from the “Duke's Gang” - Vladimir's first team, recall how a tall and thin young man with an angelic appearance first came to them. However, very soon he established himself as an ideological fighter and a devoted representative of the Odessa fan movement.
- “Vova participated in all possible adventures, fights, finding opponents, creating performances, meetings, trainings and outings. Very soon he became the main representative of our team, and when you remember those times, the memories of him are one of the first.”
One of the older friends from the fan movement recalls the story: - “When Vova first broke his fist in a fight, I told him something about how to beat properly. He listened and agreed with what he heard. Six months have passed, and I break bones with my fists twice. Then we joked about it, he said, “Well, what? Was the fight wrong?”
In civilian life, Vladimir sought to do something big and significant. Together with friends from the movement, they tried to build their own business. Always open, sincere and cheerful, he had many friends from different cities of Ukraine - from fan movements, and not only - to whom he was always hospitable, and they invited him to their place. Before the outbreak of a full-scale war, he worked in a taxi and quickly became a manager (driver).
Since 2014, he has helped friends who went to fight in every possible way, participated in fundraising for the wounded. With the onset of a full-scale war, he himself came into arms. Having taken the oath in March 2022, he went to defend the country in the ranks of the 126th Troop Brigade. As part of the special unit “Chimera” he performed combat tasks in the South, stormed enemy positions on the islands of the Kherson region.
He adopted a harsh combat baptism on August 10, 2022. While on duty with a friend, the two gave battle to several enemy tanks that unexpectedly moved into position. In that battle, his brother died, and Vladimir received UBD.
The brothers recall that “Krupa” was a sensitive person, his friends, fan team, and later the combat unit were of great importance to him. It was incredibly painful for him when one of his friends returned to the shield.
Vladimir Krupsky died on August 9, 2024 during an operation on the Kinburn Spit. Understanding all the risks when trying to evacuate wounded comrades, he still left without hesitation. After enemy fire, he and two other brothers continued to board even though they were wounded, but perished at sea.
We said goodbye to the devoted representative of the black and blue movement at the stadium of his native club.
Eternal glory to the Hero!
