Vitaly Penkin is a fan of the football club “Shakhtar” (Donetsk), a representative of the team “The Cartel”.

Vitaly Timofeevich Penkin was born on November 16, 1985 in the city of Sorokine (Luhansk region). From a young age he played for Shakhtar, and since 2011 he has been in the fan sector of the Donetsk club, where he came with his twin brother. Both of them joined like-minded people from the team “The Cartel”, which developed more as a football group.

With the beginning of the Russian invasion in eastern Ukraine and the occupation of Donetsk region by the enemy, Vitaliy and his family moved to the city of Pershotravensk (Dnipropetrovsk region), where he served in a military mine rescue unit since 2015. Having suggestions from friends and teammates about moving abroad, he decided to stay, because he associated his future only with Ukraine.

Before the outbreak of a full-scale war, he worked as an usher at DTEK Mine Control Dniprovske. From the first days of the enemy offensive, he joined the Armed Forces and went to defend his native land. 37-year-old Vitaly Penkin served as a grenade launcher in a mechanized unit of enhanced firepower, was the commander of the detachment. Died on July 22, 2022 during fierce fighting near Apostolov. The wounds received during enemy rocket fire, unfortunately, turned out to be incompatible with life.

Vitaliy has a wife and two children.
