Valery “Cadet” Kosharny is a fan of the football club “Sumy”.

Valery Vitalievich Kosharny was born on April 25, 1995 in the city of Romny (Sumy region). He studied at the local school No. 1, after which he joined the Sumy Cadet Corps and received the rank of Vice Sergeant. After entering the Ukrainian Academy of Banking at the Faculty of Economics and Finance, he graduated with a master's degree.

Valery's main childhood and youth hobby was sports. As a teenager, he was engaged in table tennis and took prize places in regional competitions. Later he was actively engaged in martial arts.

Passion for football also came into Valery's life as a child. Together with friends we visited the stadium named after him. Vladimir Okipnyi, where they cheered for the local football club. He first got into the fan sector of FC “Sumy” before training in the cadet corps at the age of 18. He was an active participant in the movement's football life, fervently supporting the team at the stadium and championing the club colours outside it. The thematic publications preserved videos of those confrontations of those years with the participation of Valery.

Close and friends remember Valeria as a very open and friendly person, hardworking and always with a kind smile.

A full-scale invasion stranded the “Cadet” abroad. Being committed to his patriotic beliefs, on October 14, 2022, he returned from Poland to stand in defense of the Motherland. He served in the A/C A4638 - driver-mechanic, was a machine-gunner of the 1st assault company of the 1st assault battalion of the 3rd OSHBR. Valery Kosharny died on December 1, 2022, while performing a combat mission near N.P. Kurdyumovka (Donetsk region), having managed to remove wounded comrades from the battlefield. He was buried at the Lozovsky cemetery in his native Romny.
