Stanislav “Metro” Partala is a fan of the football club “Metalist” (Kharkiv), representative of the team Kharkiv City Patriots.

Stanislav Yurievich Partala was born on October 5, 1984 in Kharkiv. In the second half of the 00s and early 10s, he actively supported “Metalist” at home and away matches, was the main fighter of the KCP team. The most active years of the fan life of “Metro” fell on the heyday of Ukrainian football, and he himself became a real legend of his movement, because he was a very extraordinary person. The stories related to it have been retold by people all over the country, and some of them are worthy of having an adventure action movie shot after them someday.

Even during the time of active participation in the life of the football team, “Metro” showed certain character traits and skills. Non-standard thinking in extreme situations, determination to act where most others could not give themselves advice. In the years when football battles made a rapid turn towards professional martial arts, Stanislav found confidence and courage even when he was inferior to his opponent in strength or skill. Unspoken and aiming for victory. “Scout from God” - combat comrades will say years later, recalling the successful military operations of the Metro. Everything looked as if life had specially prepared him all the time for military action, but in his own, always unpredictable way.

But now there is only 2014 in the yard. The Revolution of Dignity began in Ukraine. The determined Kharkiv citizen immediately became at the forefront of the struggle of the people for their rights and freedom. He was among a small group of patriots who stopped pro-Russian militants on Rymarska Street on the night of March 14-15, 2014. And for a month and a half he helped Ukrainian nationalists in the fight against separatists on the streets of Odessa. As the whole fan community of Ukraine later noted, the arrival of Stanislav with other Metalist fans at that match significantly helped local activists to hold the city on the bloody day of May 2. With the beginning of the Russian invasion in Donbas, he became one of the first Azov volunteers, starting his illustrious military career.

The ascent to a true legend among the military elite of the country Stanislav Partala began with an ordinary soldier “Azov”, destroying Russian equipment and capturing enemies in the endless steppes of Donbas during the ATO. Specificity of character and useful skills from civilian life came in handy in the war, “Metro” led a group as part of the regiment of the National Guard “Azov”. As of November 2016, the sergeant was a senior instructor (deputy platoon commander) of the 1st Detachment of the 1st Intelligence Platoon of the 1st Operational Assignment Battalion “Azov”.

One of the most famous military exploits of the Azov, which can be told, is often mentioned the operation to evacuate the body of a dead comrade near Pavlopil. Then Stanislav Partala, risking his own life, with a group of scouts and sappers, made an attempt to retrieve the body of a fallen comrade. It so happened that the sappers moving ahead were blown up with an explosive device, two of them were injured. The group began to fire, but thanks to the experience at the time, Sergeant Partali managed to withdraw the group, evacuate the wounded and carry the body of the dead.

Another famous case occurred near the village of Zaitsevo, when thanks to the professionalism and skillful leadership of the battle on the part of the brave commander, a sabotage and reconnaissance group of the enemy was destroyed: four militants were killed, one was taken prisoner. In general, during his years at the front, Stanislav Partala conducted countless successful operations, exits into enemy-occupied territories and personally destroyed dozens of enemies. During his service, he received awards twice (from two presidents). Orders “For Courage” (III and II degrees) in 2016 and 2017, as well as the title of “People's Hero of Ukraine” in 2020. However, those close to Stanislav could note that he was not interested in awards at all, but in the qualitative performance of the tasks.

With the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion, Metro came to the defense of Mariupol. Thanks to him, as well as to the Warriors like him, the city from the last forces held on for so long, subtracting forces from the occupiers from other fronts. On February 27, 2022, enemy warships appeared in the waters of the Sea of Azov, which began shelling the coast and tried to land a naval landing. The battle was taken by the Marines of the Armed Forces, who successfully repelled three attempts by the invaders to step ashore. Subsequently, the Morpihs were forced to retreat to carry out regrouping, cover for their departure and temporary maintenance of the coastal boundaries were entrusted to their fellow National Guardsmen — the Azov OZSP group. Within 48 hours, the “Azovs” repelled four landing attempts by the sea, inflicted significant losses on the enemy. Lieutenant Partala personally destroyed eight invaders and sank two enemy vessels.

The strong-spirited Warrior took his last battle on March 2, when he and his subordinates successfully completed the task of mining possible routes of enemy advance and were already returning to the deployment point, but in the vicinity of the village of Kalynivka they encountered a much larger group of enemy who tried them surround. Lieutenant Partala skillfully organized the repulse of the attack, in the course of the battle the National Guards destroyed three armored vehicles of the enemy (two of which he personally defeated). Severely wounded, Metro continued to lead the battle and managed to get his unit into the area of concentration. But the doctors did not manage to save the life of the brave commander.

The sad news of the death of the faithful son of Ukraine quickly spread among the fans. Many commented that with the death of Metro, we were not only a real knight of war, but also a piece of that romantic football life from the beginning of the last decade, which we all love to remember so much and for which we miss so much. Having emerged from the cohort of the most active football fans, Stanislav Partala inscribed his name in the history of the liberation struggle of the Ukrainian people for their existence. Someday, people will surely have to learn more about his military prowess and pull. Two beautiful children can be proud of the exploits of their father.
