Serhii "Garik" Tryshkaliuk was a fan of the Nyva Ternopil football club.

Serhii Rostyslavovych Tryshkaliuk was born on October 18, 1993, in Ternopil. He attended School No. 22 in his hometown. As a child, he was passionate about martial arts, including boxing and wrestling, as well as dancing. Spending a lot of time at the gym helped him make many friends. He loved to read and studied foreign languages. After completing the 8th grade, he enrolled in the Lviv State Lyceum with Enhanced Military and Physical Training named after the Heroes of Kruty, and later continued his studies at the Hetman Petro Sahaidachnyi National Army Academy, specializing in airmobile troops and reconnaissance.

Serhii began supporting Nyva from the fan section in 2010. He was a member of the "WestSideFirm" and "Good Company" groups. He was passionate about both supporting the team in the stands and the surrounding football culture, to which he dedicated himself entirely for a time.

After leaving the Army Academy, Serhii enrolled at the West Ukrainian National University in Ternopil. In 2017, he defended his master's thesis and began postgraduate studies in Software Engineering. He is a co-author of two scientific papers.

In his free time, Serhii continued to practice sports, specifically Muay Thai and wrestling. He even coached Muay Thai sessions.

After pausing his postgraduate studies, Serhii joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine in 2019. He served in the Special Operations Forces, becoming a sniper expert and proficient in many types of weaponry. He carried out sabotage and reconnaissance missions in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions. He was proactive and professional, passing on his knowledge and experience to the younger generation. He was awarded the "For Exemplary Service" badge.

Together with his wife, Yelyzaveta, he raised a daughter, Solomiia, and a son, Matvii. His dog, a Dalmatian, held a special place in his life; he loved the dog dearly and even took him along to the training grounds.

From the beginning of the full-scale war, he participated in combat operations in the Chernihiv region, serving as deputy commander of a special forces group. According to his brothers-in-arms, Serhii always led the way on combat missions. Once, he spent an entire day at an observation post alone, arguing that he did not want to risk the lives of his subordinates, and managed to withdraw without being detected by the enemy. He cared deeply for his comrades, who trusted him with their lives.

After receiving the rank of junior lieutenant, he became the commander of a sabotage and reconnaissance group. He demonstrated heroism during the defense of Bakhmut in July 2023, after which he carried out combat missions in the Sumy region.

Serhii Tryshkaliuk was killed on March 1, 2024, in an airstrike in the Sumy region. He is buried in the Alley of Heroes in Ternopil. He was posthumously awarded the Order for Courage, 3rd Class, and the title of Honorary Citizen of Ternopil.
