Rostyslav “Jerry” Tereshchenko is a fan of the football club “Dynamo” (Kiev).
Rostislav Vitalievich Tereshchenko was born on November 14, 1995 in the city of Kiev. He studied at school No. 81, after which he entered the Kiev Professional College of Railway Transport. He had many different interests and hobbies. Loved nature and animals, hitchhiking trips, kayaking, training in sports wrestling with teammates. I loved to read books and play chess. He spent a lot of time in the kitchen, preparing a variety of dishes.
Rostyslav began to cheer for the capital “Dynamo” in his youth, and in 2011 he got into the fan sector. He had a large number of outings on his account, broke through the “Golden Season” 2013/14. Teammates remember Rostislav as a very educated and ideological guy, and there was no need to look for a more modest person.
He was an active participant in the Revolution of Dignity. In 2014, when Rostislav was 19 years old, he joined the ranks of the OSP “Azov”, where for the next three years he studied sniper work. He was disciplined, had a constant thirst for knowledge. The sniper's specialty corresponded to his quiet and calm character. He was well versed in weapons and constantly improved his knowledge, taking a variety of courses.
Despite the service, Rostislav still found the opportunity to go out to fight for Dynamo. According to teammates, one of the most vivid impressions for Rostik was the Euro trip to Naples. Then, unfortunately, the guys did not manage to get to the match, and the whole team spent the night in the police station.
After his dismissal from the regiment, the guys from the team invited Rostik to work in the field of security. He always tried to provide for his mother and grandmother, and his free time focused on self-development.
He met his beloved Yarina Rostislav in the fall of 2022 at drone piloting courses in Zaporizhzhia. They had a lot in common in views and planned to start a family, live in the Kiev region, where Rostislav dreamed of building a common house near the forest with a large library and a reloading workshop. We wanted to live in peace and quiet.
From the first days of a full-scale war, Jerry returned to the front. First he joined the ranks of the 4th battalion of the special purpose company of the NGU, where a group of guys from the movement gathered, in particular the Dynamo Old School. Participated in the defense and liberation of Kyiv region. In the early summer of 2022, he came to the Zaporizhzhya direction, where in July he received a severe contusion, underwent treatment and recovery in a local hospital. Even during rehabilitation, he improved his military skills, learned new things.
In December 2022, he completed the transfer procedure to the 3rd Special Operations Forces Regiment, where he wanted to continue growing and improving as a sniper. From the moment Rostislav took up the duties of the operator of the SSO until his death, he fought on the Avdievsky section of the front. He was a true universal Warrior who could control drones of various types and knew the sapper business.
For the performance of one of the tasks, Rostislav was presented with a high state award - the Order “For Courage” of the 3rd degree. The details and circumstances of this task are mentioned by his colleague with the callsign “Staff”.
Sniper pair of the 3rd regiment of the SSO received the task of detecting and training enemy snipers in the Avdiyivka area (Donetsk region). They were to advance to the area of the “Tsarskaya Yokota” to the position of “Sparrow”.
While the sniper pair was in position with several other infantrymen, the enemy conducted art training and later the assault began. Rostislav, together with his brother, had to repel several conversions of enemy equipment and infantry, taking up infantry weapons. The offensive lasted from 4 to 10 am, and other operators of the SSO helped to repel it.
The life award received for that battle, the family of “Jerry” received after his death. Rostyslav Tereshchenko was killed on December 28, 2023 during a combat clash with the enemy in the city of Avdiyivka (Donetsk region). He was buried in the Forest Cemetery in Kiev. He was awarded the Order “For Courage” of the 2nd degree (posthumously), as well as the “Cross of Special Operations Forces” (posthumously).
