Roman “Skitls” Gorkova is a fan of the football club “Metalurg” (Zaporizhia), a representative of the team “Cossack Youth”.
Roman Artemovich Gorkovoy was born on June 3, 2001 in the city of Zaporizhia. He studied at the Zaporizhzhya Academic Lyceum. From an early age, he was a patriot and worried about the future of the country.
He was a member of the public association “C14”, which aims to protect the national interests of Ukrainians and conducts the fight against pro-Russian separatist structures. He was fond of sports and, together with like-minded people from Sichi, promoted a healthy lifestyle. Cared for the ecosystem of his native city, took part in cleaning activities on the island. Roman attended his first football match at the age of 5, namely on July 29, 2006 at the opening of Slavutich-Arena. He began to support Metalurg in the fan sector in 2018. He tried not to miss the team's home matches, sometimes even running away with friends from the last couple. In the same year he attended his first away matches in cities such as Kryvyi Rih, Kremenchuk and Nikopol.
At the end of 2019, he was accepted into service under contract. He served in the 73rd Naval Center of the SSU as a “firefighter operator” of the 2nd detachment of the A/C A3199 with the call sign “Bledny”. Already during his service, he graduated from Zaporizhzhya Electrotechnical Professional College of the National University “Zaporizhzhya Polytechnic” with a degree in Economics.
Relatives recall that Roman knew how to be friends and really valued friendship. Once he crossed 16 km from his location on the Fedotova spit, crossing the bay to Kirillovka to meet a friend.
