Roman “Beach” Romanenko is a fan of the football club “Dnipro”, a representative of the team “Perspective 14".

Roman Sergeevich Romanenko was born on January 21, 1994 in the city of Dnipro. He was an excellent student at school and continued his studies on a budget at one of the best universities in the city - DNU named after him. Pottery in the specialty “marketing”. At the age of 16, he came to the fan sector of the Dnieper, after which he toured many cities of Ukraine. He always tried to develop in a versatile way, in addition to studying at the university, he paid attention to sports - boxing, running, crossfit. Joined the team “Perspective 14", which became the next generation of the more famous - “MiD”. He loved to travel and was fond of photography.

With the beginning of the Revolution of Dignity, like many fans of “Dnipro”, he did not hesitate to go to the capital, where he became a participant in the most significant events of the Maidan. In particular, on the street. Hrushevsky, as well as in the last days of the revolution. After returning to his hometown, he was one of those who defended the regional council from separatists. Together with many friends from the fan stand, Roman wanted to join the Ukrainian army as soon as possible. In the fall of 2015, he transferred to part-time training and joined the ranks of the then battalion “Azov”.

In “Azov”, “Beach” served as a sniper. He showed high professionalism, constantly trained and improved himself. Thanks to his perseverance, he received the rank of sergeant, became the commander of the sniper department. From 2017 to 2018, he constantly performed combat tasks throughout the front line — Vodiane, Shyrokyne, Pavlopil, Marinka, Avdiyivka, Ekaterinovka. In March 2019, the commander of a sniper group was one of those who saved the life of the commander of a sniper group who was seriously wounded in the Svitlodarskaya arc. In April of the same year, he received the rank of junior lieutenant.

The brothers loved and respected “Beach”, which was the soul of any company. Later they will mention that he was endowed with the best human qualities and was a true example to all his friends and people around him. Roman Romanenko died on August 10, 2019 on the same Svitlodarskaya arc, where six months earlier he saved the life of his brother. While in an intelligence group tracking enemy movements, he blew up on an enemy fugue and died as a result of gunshot wounds. Immediately after the explosion, the group began shelling from all types of weapons, because of which the “Azovites” could not immediately retrieve Roman's body. It was only possible to do this after three days.

On August 14, 2019, the Warrior was buried at the Chaplinsky cemetery in Dnipro. “Radis” - the commander of the Azov regiment, remembering Roman, will say: - “An unconditionally worthy person died, a combat officer, an experienced warrior who was able to make informed decisions on the battlefield.” By the decree of the President of Ukraine dated August 23, 2019, he was awarded the Order “For Courage” III degree (posthumously). To receive this order, “Beach” was submitted for life, after confirming one of the successful combat operations. Unfortunately, the award was already received by Roman's mother, for whom he was an only child.

Fond of photography and constantly improving his talent, he left behind a series of unsurpassed works - true chronicles of the war. After the death of Roman in his native Dnipro, in the ATO museum, there was an exhibition of his photographs taken during combat missions.
