Pavel “Paha” Garkusha is a fan of the football club “Kryvbas” (Kryvyi Rih), a representative of the team “Old School Kryvbas”.

Pavel Yurievich Garkusha was born on July 05, 1990 in the city of Kryvyi Rih. He studied at school No. 110, after which he was educated at the Automobile Technical School in his hometown. Since childhood, he preferred to play football, loved fishing. From his father he took a love of vehicles, especially motorcycles. At an early age, he began to be interested in playing the guitar, and already as a teenager he even created a school rock band, in which he also played with friends.

At the age of 16, he came to the fan stand of Kryvbas. His devotion to the red and white colors of the Kryvyi Rih movement was vividly evidenced by one of the cases. A book with fans of the principled, at that time, rival - “Vorskla” from Poltava, in the swing against which “Paha” exchanged its level profile for a C-shaped “Greek” nose. In between times, he always somehow managed to attract the attention of girls. And he was also a fierce fashionista of that time.

Friends and teammates remember Paul as an incredibly easy man to climb, able to always come to the rescue. At the same time, he was prudent and thoughtful about his actions. Everyone was amazed at his talent to emerge from conflict situations with a smile. But, if the fights were no longer avoidable - do not be afraid to join the truth and friends. Thus, the “Groin” combined many qualities that are not often found in people, and even less often - in total in someone. He was married and had a son Yaroslav.

Until 2014, he led a moderate lifestyle, worked as an auto mechanic and supported his favorite football team. True to his ideals and patriotic beliefs, he took up arms after the start of the Russian invasion in the East of the country. From May 2014 to 2015 he defended the Motherland during the ATO as part of part A1126. After that, he joined the Azov Regiment and served in Mariupol in 2016-17. Upon completion of the service, he began to engage in public activities on the territory of the Odessa region. as part of the NGO “Council of Public Security” (volunteer and military activity).

The day after the start of a full-scale war, he did not hesitate again to defend the country. He fought as part of the 25th Separate Airborne Brigade of Sicheslav (Airborne Assault Forces of the Armed Forces). Pavel Garkusha died while performing a combat mission in the area of the village. Ridkodub (Donetsk region) on September 23, 2022, having received shrapnel wounds incompatible with life. In the memory of relatives and friends, Paha will forever remain a wonderful son and brother, the best father for his child, a true patriot of Ukraine who loved life and rock and roll.
