Pavel “Larry” Hazov is a fan of the football club “Metalist” (Kharkiv), a representative of the team “Kharkiv City Patriots”.

Pavel Alexandrovich Khazov was born on July 2, 1987 in the city of Berdyansk (Zaporizhia region). He studied at school number 11, the city of Berdyansk. After graduating from school, he entered the Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute on a budget, where he studied at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering. According to the memories of his relatives, he grew up an inquisitive and active guy. A great place and his life was occupied by sports. He was physically developed, engaged in karate and boxing. From a young age, Paul showed leadership qualities, he always united many friends near him.

He began to visit the fan stand of Kharkiv “Metalist” since he joined the institute in 2004. At that time, Paul was 17 years old. Actively supported the team, both at home matches and away. Becoming one of the old-timers of the KCP team, he was open to communicating with the younger generation and always found time to maintain a true fan spirit.

During the Revolution of Dignity in 2014, he took an active part in the opposition movement that prevented the formation of the so-called Kharkiv People's Republic.

Friends recall that in civilian life Paul wanted to help everyone and had a heightened sense of justice, was very kind and always smiled. The pace of his life was very fast, the energy was boiling. Like most fans, “Metalist” anticipated the onset of the Great War and was ready to defend the city that had become truly his home.

From the first day of a full-scale invasion, he took up arms along with friends from the fan team. Larry knew many of them for many years, and therefore with the whole band they replenished the ranks of the TRO unit, on the basis of which the famous “Kraken” would later be created.

Pavel Khazov died on February 26, 2022, defending Kharkiv from the enemy. Buried in the Alley of Glory 18 cemetery m. Kharkov.
