Alexander “Shorokh” Dergach is a fan of the football club “Metalurg” (Zaporizhia), representative of the team “Baburka Front”.
Alexander Vladimirovich Dergach was born on March 25, 1994 in N.P. Kuibysheve (Zaporizhzhya region). When he was 11 years old, his family moved to Zaporozhye. From the third grade he studied at school No. 91, after which he continued his studies at the Zaporizhzhya Vocational Lyceum of Motor Vehicles, where he acquired the specialty of “locksmith for car repair, driver of motor vehicles”. Since childhood, he was very mobile, loved free wrestling and football. As a teenager, he began to work in the boxing section of the DUSSH No. 6.
Since 2012, Alexander was part of the team “Baburka Front”. Supporting Zaporizhzhya “Metalurg” at home and away matches - traveled all over the country. But despite the large number of outings behind the shoulders, the main hobby was fights. Most often, they fought with neighbors, thus gaining experience. Over time, he restored the team, becoming its leader. Teammates recall one of the loudest achievements of “Baburka Front” - the victory in the agreed meeting by the fans of “Dnipro”.
In 2013, he met his first wife Anastasia, and in August 2014 they had a son Yegor, but in 2020 the couple divorced. In 2021, Alexander met his beloved Anastasia, whom they married in 2022. According to the memories of his beloved, Alexander was always a stubborn truthful who was not afraid of anything. He protected his family from the details of his participation in battles during a full-scale war.
In 2015-2018, “Shorokh” defended the country in the ranks of the Azov regiment, participating in some important operations. He worked in the area of Lebedinsky, Gnutovo, Chermalyk. His brethren remember him as a brave, enterprising and motivated warrior who always had the desire to go to combat.
Devoting a lot of time to training (boxing and Thai boxing), Alexander was the head of the “Sports Corps” of Zaporizhzhia. He trained young people and encouraged everyone to become stronger.
After his discharge from the service, he went to the special police unit, where he also actively developed and learned new things.
In 2018-23 he studied at Berdyansk University of Management and Business.
The beginning of a full-scale invasion “Shorokh” met in the special unit of the National Police. Actively destroyed the enemy in the Zaporizhzhya direction, namely the Orikhiv and Vasilyevsky directions. Actively participated in the liberation of villages near the village. Kamenskoe. He was the commander of a mortar platoon that eliminated the head of intelligence of one of the enemy brigades.
In the summer of 2023, he transferred to the 12th Brigade “Azov”. Participated in the defense of the Lyman direction as part of the brigade artillery group, commanded the calculation of the Hyacinth howitzer. Subsequently, he became a member of the special purpose group “Kontakt12".
He fought with the occupier in one of the hottest areas of those days - n.p. Thorns, where the enemy carried out daily assaults. “Shorokh” took part in the calculation of the UAV, which repeatedly helped to stop the enemy, adjusting artillery and making discharges.
Oleksandr Dergach died on March 4, 2024 while performing a combat mission near Kramatorsk (Donetsk region). Buried in the cemetery of St. Nikolay in Zaporozhye. Awarded the Order “For Courage” III degree (posthumously).
