Nazariy “Tyson” Shevchenko is a fan of the football club “Shakhtar” (Donetsk).
Nazariy Evgenovich Shevchenko was born on January 24, 2005 in the village. Kostovata (Mykolaiv region). He studied at the school of the village of Myhiya (Mykolaisk region), after which he entered the Pervomaisk Professional College of the National University of Shipbuilding named after Admiral Makarov, where he studied law. From a young age he was engaged in boxing. At the age of 12 he worked on rafts, and at the age of 14 - as a rafting instructor.
From an early age, Shakhtar became Nazarian's favorite team. Watched broadcasts and attended matches at the stadium. Unfortunately, he did not have time to support the team in the fan sector, but by a whim he was among Shakhtar fans later, when he joined Azov.
At the beginning of a full-scale war, Nazarius, together with his family, was evacuated abroad. But his conscience and patriotic convictions prompted him to return to Ukraine and stand in defense of his native land. “I cannot hide from a war that threatens the existence of everything that is dear to me!” he replied to numerous entreaties to stay at home.
Upon his return, 18-year-old Nazari took up arms as part of one of the units of “Azov”. For nine months he performed combat tasks in Serebryansk forestry in Luhansk region. “The forest will be ours, or night,” the brothers recall the words of “Tyson”, which he often repeated in those days. On his 19th birthday, he received the rank of junior sergeant, which he was very proud of.
Friends in arms recall Nazar as a brave fighter who was not afraid to perform the most risky tasks. As if feeling the transience of each moment, he said, “We value every moment of life, because we will die young.”
Nazariy Shevchenko died on April 30, 2024 while performing a combat mission in N.P. Grigorivka (Bakhmut district, Donetsk region). He is buried in the village of Mygia (Pervomaisky district), where his parents live. Awarded the Order “For Courage” III degree (posthumously).
Eternal glory to the Hero!
