Ivan “Technician” Shevchenko is a fan of the football club “Dynamo” (Kiev), a representative of the team “North Company”.
Ivan Yuriiovych Shevchenko was born on January 20, 2002 in the city of Kiev. His mother left him as an infant, so Ivan ended up in an orphanage, and later, until the age of 18, grew up in a guardian's family. He studied in schools No. 232 and 224. In 2020, he graduated from the Kiev Vocational College with enhanced military and physical training, where he obtained the specialty of a locksmith and a driver of motor vehicles.
According to the memories of his relatives, in those years Ivan was an energetic crusher, the main hobbies of the young man were sports and electronic music (techno). Despite almost all the time difficult financial situation, Ivan was eager to exercise and tried to get into training at sports clubs.
In the field of passion for sports, he met representatives of the capital's football movement. Together with them, he began to support Dynamo in the sector, and soon became part of the team “North Company”.
Friends recall that Ivan was a very kind person who was able to give the last to literally strangers.
Having become fascinated at a young age with the ideas of the Straight Edge movement, he zealously adhered to a healthy lifestyle and purity of thoughts. According to the memories of Ivan's teammates, the words “True till death” were his life credo, and it was these beliefs that occupied an important place in his life.
In civilian life, Ivan always tried to find a job in order to be able to pay for training.
Ivan was a member of the organization “Centuria”, and at the beginning of the full-scale war, along with many other fans, joined the ranks of the SSO “Azov Kyiv”. Subsequently, already during the Bakhmut campaign, he began his combat path as part of the 3rd OSHBR.
Being a scout, the “Technician” was very responsible for his duties, he was the commander of the detachment of the Separate Intelligence Platoon. Most of his free time was devoted to self-development and the study of military affairs. He dreamed of getting a higher education and showing himself in command positions.
Ivan Shevchenko died on March 8, 2024 while performing a combat mission in the village. Orlivka on the Avdievsky direction. He was buried in the Forest Cemetery in Kiev.
