Ivan “Bonus” Feseniuk is a fan of the football club “Dynamo” (Kyiv), representative of the team “Capitals”.

Ivan Petrovich Feseniuk was born on March 28, 1993 in the city of Kiev. He grew up in a large family of mathematicians, along with three brothers and two sisters. Since childhood, he received a patriotic education. His uncle Yevgeny Vasilyevich Pronyuk was a famous fighter for the Independence of Ukraine, dissident, Hero of Ukraine, People's Deputy of the 2nd convocation.

He studied at school number 156, after which he entered the vocational school in the specialty of culinary confectioner. He graduated from the Instrument Planning Faculty of NTUU Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, and also received a master's degree at the Faculty of Physical Culture, Sports and Health of Grigory Skovoroda University in Pereyaslav.

At the age of 15, he began to engage in kickboxing under the guidance of coach Alexander Popov. During his studies, he participated in student sports competitions, won the Kiev kickboxing championship among students.

Football was another hobby of Ivan from an early age. He played in the children's team, dreamed of playing for Dynamo. His father was a fan, and together they watched matches on television. Mathematician and programmer, originally from western Ukraine, from a family of the repressed. It was he who taught his son to love Dynamo, and Ivan first visited the stands as a 12-year-old, together with his older brother Sergey.

At the stadium, he was captivated by the unity of the fan movement. I immediately realized that it was his. Later, Ivan told loved ones that if he had not become a fan, he would have been nobody, would not have any development.

According to the memories of loved ones, Ivan began to travel to the matches of his favorite team by trains, free of charge. Along the way, I found something to eat every time, also for free. He said that in this way “I drove in a bonus”. And so friends began to call it “Bonus”.

Teammates recall that in the fights for Dynamo “Bonus” showed real courage. He was the one who went to the end, did not give up, did not break. His strength was not only in his fists — it was in character, in his ability to inspire others, to lead after himself. It was around him that the strong backbone of “Kids of Capital” was formed — a youth who confidently kept their level throughout Ukraine, repeatedly proving their superiority in fights up to 25 years. And not only in Ukraine — the international arena also knew the name “Bonus” and respected it.

“Vanya was not only a fighter — he was a leader, a communicator, a charismatic person dedicated to his cause. He knew how to rally people around him, transfer his energy to them, charge for victory. He always had something to learn: from his dedication to the cause to his special charisma, which conquered the hearts of girls and inspired respect among the boys.”

For his friends, “Bonus” became a real brother in spirit, and for pets - without exaggeration, the second parent. For young guys, he personified the ideal of a real man: courageous, strong, ideological, determined, tenacious.

Few people knew about the other side of John's life, which was associated with spiritual practices. His mother was a believer and taught her son to attend church from an early age. Later, Ivan himself told friends from the team about the importance of unshakable faith. After the outbreak of a full-scale war, the church supported John in all directions of his ministry. Olga Feseniuk became a spiritual guide for her son and died of a serious illness shortly after Ivan's death.

He was a participant in the Revolution of Dignity, and in 2014 he joined the organization “National Azov Corps”. Having vast experience of participation in competitions at a high level, in civilian life, since 2017, Ivan was engaged in coaching activities, actively engaged in the physical development of Ukrainian youth.

Among the personal sports achievements of “Bonus”:

- victory at the WKA Kickboxing World Championship 2019 in Swidnica, Poland;

- 1st place at the Open Championship of Kiev region in kickboxing WAKO;

- second and third places at the Ukrainian championship and all-Ukrainian kickboxing competitions among adults, as well as among all age categories.

Even before the large-scale invasion began, he joined the NGO Centuria as a kickboxing trainer, later leading a platoon of the Black Hundred.

At the beginning of the full-scale war “Bonus” took part in the defense of the capital as part of the TRO “Azov Kyiv”. Subsequently, he joined the ranks of the 3rd OSHBR, fought as a gunner in the mortar section of the fire support platoon of the 4th assault company of the 1st assault battalion. Participant in the battles in the Zaporizhzhya direction, for Bakhmut and Avdiyivka.

In 2023, he was awarded the Golden Cross insignia of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Friends recall that for Ivan there was nothing impossible, he overcame any obstacles when others did not imagine that it was possible.

Ivan Feseniuk died on March 13, 2024 in A.D. Orlivka (Donetsk region) during the execution of a combat mission to evacuate a wounded comrade. He was buried at the Berkovetsky cemetery in Kiev.
