Igor “Shlyakhta” Minyaylo is a fan of the football club FC “Sumy”.

Igor Mikhailovich Minyaylo was born on July 24, 1989 in the city of Sumy. He studied at school No. 29, after which he entered the Sumy Professional College of Arts and Culture named after him. D. S. Bortnyansky. Later he received higher education at Sumy State Pedagogical University named after him. A. S. Makarenko at the Faculty of Social and Applied Psychology. From the age of 13 he was engaged in oriental martial arts, as well as football.

He began to visit the fan stand of PFC “Sumy” in the early 2010s. Then there were also the times of the “Autonomous Resistance” and “Reactor” movements. Igor was connected to nationalist organizations in his hometown. In addition to football, he and his friends organized runs with nationalist slogans in Sumy. In the fan sector, he was also known by the nickname “Damansky”.

Igor is remembered as a “stoic” who accepted reality and tried to comprehend it, as if by looking behind it. Later he was one of those who aroused public opinion during Yanukovych's rule with desperate actions. When in 2014 it was time for the Revolution of Dignity, “Damansky” took part in the fight against criminal authorities. Nevertheless, the scale of events in Sumy outraged, and sometimes amused him. He was a participant in the protests at Maidan Nezalezhnosti in Kyiv.

Immediately with the beginning of the Russian invasion in the East, Igor joined the volunteer battalion “Aidar”, in 2015 he joined the battalion of OUN. At this time he took part in the battles for N.P. Schastya and Sands (Donetsk region). Even later, realizing that the war against the eternal enemy would be long, he signed a contract with the Armed Forces. Since then, with minor breaks on vacation, he has been at the front. During this period he was twice contended.

Friends also mention that Igor loved philosophy, history and folklore. He was to some extent a polonophile, enjoying debating the subject of the Commonwealth, Catholicism and Cossacks. This was due to the future choice of the callsign - “Noble”. Being in the ranks of the 30th mechanized brigade named after him. Konstantin Ostrozhsky, liked to have a conversation just about Prince Ostrozky and others. He composed philosophical thoughts in poems and notes, which he left on his Instagram page for a small audience of friends. In 2016-17, he was married and divorced.

Defending the country in the East from 2017 to 2019 as part of the 93rd OMB “Kholodny Yar”. And from 2019-21 he fought in the 15th motorized infantry battalion of the operational task brigade “North”. At this time, Igor proved himself to be a well-trained, highly qualified and principled soldier, demanding of himself. At the same time, a close friend recalls that “Damansky” did not romanticize the war, had a certain contempt for it and joked about death.

After the beginning of a large-scale war, from March 2022, “Shlyakhta” joined the ranks of the 3rd Assault Battalion of the 5th OshBR, participated in the activities necessary to ensure the defense of Ukraine, protect the security of the population and the interests of the state through Russian military aggression. He fought in the Kramatorsk and Konstantinovsky directions of Donetsk region. Always remained true to the military oath, deterring enemy attack.

The commander of the combat vehicle of the 1st detachment of the 3rd Assault Platoon of the 9th Assault Company of the 3rd Assault Battalion went missing in February 2023 during a battle in the area of the N.P. Ivanivske (Donetsk region). Later it became known that on February 16 Igor Minyaylo died. Awarded the title “Honorary Citizen of Sumy Region” (posthumously).
