Igor “Red” Mishchenko is a fan of the football club “Metalist” (Kharkiv), a representative of the team “Army of the First Capital”.
Igor Olegovich Mishchenko was born on April 27, 1996 in the city of Kharkiv. He studied at lyceum No. 8, after which he entered the Kharkiv Higher Professional Mechanical-Technological School. I was fond of video games, but over time this type of leisure was replaced by time spent with friends. Since adolescence, he was engaged in kickboxing, boxing and was very fond of knives. Participated in the annual knife fight cup.
He first got into the Metalist fan sector in the 2009/10 season, and in early 2012 Igor came to the training of the AFC team, after which he became an integral part of it. Already in March 2012 he held his first fight in the field as part of the team. In total, Igor participated in 15 arranged meetings, where he always had a thirst to win and fight to the last.
From a young age, the influence of the sector on its ideological development was seen, reflected in the love for the country and the nation. This prompted Igor to carefully study history and formed in him the vision of loyalty and honor inherent in true patriots.
In 2014, he fought with separatists on the streets of his hometown, hindering their attempts to seize the Regional State Administration of Kharkiv Oblast.
In civilian life, Igor was a versatile person: he had a business selling men's clothing, wrote poems, loved to play backgammon. He continued to practice boxing, not limiting himself to the knowledge of other martial arts. Tried himself in jiu-jitsu, wrestling and MMA. looking for additional skills and clavicles to meet the opponent.
Before the full-scale invasion, I liked to travel in Ukraine and abroad, especially in the mountains.
He and his future wife Anna met in 2020, and married in July 2022.
At the beginning of the full-scale war, together with a large number of Kharkiv fans, he joined the volunteer formation, on the basis of which later the unit of GUR MO “Kraken” was created. Participated in the liberation of Kharkiv region.
In 2023, he entered the Ukrainian State University of Science and Technology, where he studied at the Faculty of Economics and Management, Department of Economics and Entrepreneurship named after T.G. Benya.
The military path in 2022 began as a gunner of the assault detachment. Then Igor fell in love with tactical medicine and was engaged in evacuation in Donetsk region. In 2023, he learned a lot and became a scout sniper.
Igor Mishchenko was killed on March 17, 2024 in combat with the enemy near c. Lukashivka (Sumy region). Awarded the Order “For Courage” of the 3rd degree (posthumously). He was buried in the cemetery No. 18 of the city of Kharkiv.
