Evgeny “Simba” Chorny is a fan of the football club “Dnipro”.

Evgeny Viktorovich Chorny was born on August 21, 1989 in the city of Dnipro. He studied at school No. 143, after which he continued his studies at the Dnipropetrovsk Industrial Technical School with a specialty as an electrician. In 2008-09, he graduated from vocational school No. 6 with a specialty as a bricklayer. Since childhood, he had a heightened sense of justice, protected girls and those who could not protect themselves.

He joined the Dnieper fan movement in 2008. Eugene was active in the sector: he participated in the creation of performances at the Northern Tribune, had many outings and an active civic position. In addition to the football team of his hometown, he also supported the basketball club “Dnipro”. Being in the fan movement, he caught the days of active football, and on one of the trips to Odessa he had a “fun” race with the police, then I had to hide on one of the city beaches.

According to the memories of loved ones, in adolescence and youth he was fond of collecting models of radio-controlled cars, coins of different countries of the world, fishing and, of course, football. At an older age, he became interested in auto racing in the club “ADRENALIN”. Helped with the organization and participated in the race itself, where he burned tires and had many vivid memories and emotions.

At the same race, he met his future wife Anna. With many years of friendship and common interests, they were able to build a strong family. In 2017, their daughter Arina was born, who adopted from the loving dad the same character traits, preferences and even “crown” phrases.

With the outbreak of a full-scale war, Eugene was mobilized to the ranks of the 128th separate brigade of the Troop Forces, where he held the position of scout and gunner of 233 battalion. Defended Ukraine in the Donetsk direction in the area of Staromayorsk. Despite the hard tests that fell on his reconnaissance unit, he found time for a breath of fresh air with fishing rods near the pond.

Evgeny Chorny died on August 29, 2023. A wound incompatible with life was caused by a cluster munition that hit a trench. He was buried on an unnamed hill in Diivka in his hometown. On December 4, 2023, he was awarded the Order “For Courage” of the III degree (posthumously).
