Yegor “Slon” Lah is a fan of the football club “Kryvbas” (Kryvyi Rih).
Yegor Igorovich Liakh was born on June 27, 1998 in the city of Kryvyi Rih. He studied at school No. 73, and after the 9th grade he entered the Polytechnic College, where he obtained the specialty of an assistant driver of a diesel locomotive. From school years, and later, already in college - I did not aspire to be an excellent student, but stood out among others by the sharpness of mind and flexibility of thinking.
Having started to cheer for Kryvbas since childhood, he supported the teams after the club returned in 2020. Yegor joined the Kryvyi Rih ultra-movement closer to the beginning of preparations for a full-scale war. The fan environment attracted him with the right views, as well as the fact that many teammates led and promoted a healthy lifestyle. Together with them, the “Elephant” became stronger.
Loved ones remember Yegor as a very calm and friendly person. From a young age, he was persistent and purposeful, he knew what he wanted. In civilian life, he worked at the enterprise “ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih”. And, if it were not for the war, a smart and promising guy - would definitely achieve many successes.
Throughout his life, Egor faced many difficulties that not everyone can overcome. And it was these trials that strengthened his character.
The day before the start of the full-scale invasion, Yegor, together with his teammates, joined the Kryvyi Rih branch of the organization “Centuria”. At first he defended his native land in the Zaporizhzhya direction as part of the 98th battalion of TRO “Azov-Dnipro”. Subsequently, he became a fighter of the newly created 3rd OShBR.
The brothers will remember “Elephant” as a faithful and reliable friend who was always full of optimism and practiced well with a machine gun.
Yegor Lach died on January 25, 2023 in battle on the outskirts of Bakhmut (Donetsk region), having been wounded by a tank shell. In May 2024, a memorial plaque was opened on the building of Kryvyi Rih Gymnasium No. 73, in which Yegor once studied.
