Eduard “Physicist” Zebin is a fan of the football club “Dnipro”.
Eduard Nikolaevich Zebin was born on August 26, 1976 in the city of Dnipro (formerly. Dnipropetrovsk). He received his higher education in Cyprus, and his family lived in Stockholm. He began to go to the matches of “Dnipro” on “Meteor” back in the 90s. He supported the team at home and away matches not only in Ukraine, but also attended European Cup trips abroad. At the same time, Edward was not part of any separate fan group.
In civilian life, Edward was interested in the exact sciences and philosophy. According to the memoirs of friends, he was a real aesthete of thought, and everything he said had a deep meaning. He lived in Poltava for a long time. Together with his wife Vitaly, they raised a son and daughter.
Edward could safely live not in Ukraine, but having the heart of a true Ukrainian, with the beginning of the Revolution of Dignity he immersed himself in the events of the Poltava Euromaidan, as well as the confrontation on the streets of the capital. In June 2015, Edward joined the 17th RS of the DUK “Right Sector”, and later became a fighter of the 1st separate assault company (the group of the legendary Dmitry “Da Vinci” Kotsyubailo) of the DUK PS. The brothers recall that “The Physicist” fascinated with the depth of his views and perception of reality. His soul cheered for Ukraine, for its fate, for its bright future.
He had big plans for the future. He dreamed of making a film about the Cossacks, the Maidan and the war. He did not spare his strength in the fight. He was a trained fighter, always ready to come to the rescue. Determined for radical changes, the revolutionary, criticizing the then authorities, despite everything, considered the defense of the Motherland to be the main priority. In one of the latest posts on his page in social networks “Physicist” wrote: - “... Our country is sick. The most resource-rich country in Europe and populated by the poorest people in Europe cannot be healthy. Our country is sick, this is a medical fact.
So our society is sick too. The symptoms are obvious. Someone dies and freezes in the East, someone has fun in restaurants. Someone gives the last 50 hryvnias to volunteers, and someone hides millions in the garden and under mattresses. Everything is permeated with illness, spiritual and physical. If a person is adapted to a sick society, he is sick. If a person in a sick society is a freak, an outcast, a marginal - perhaps he is just healthy.
Who are we, those who lost jobs, friends, housing, wives? Who are we, those to whom the “normal” twist their finger at the temple with the question “why are you not like everyone else, home-job? Why do you need this war, no one needs it, you are being used, the state has imposed it on you, no one needs you.” Who are we, the sick marginals, or on the contrary, those on whom a normal healthy country can be built?”
Eduard Zebin died on November 30, 2016 as a result of enemy mortar shelling near Avdeivka (Donetsk region). Having suffered a gunshot wound to the head, he lived for another hour, was taken to the Avdievsky hospital, where the warrior's heart stopped. On this day he planned to return to Poltava. He was buried in the village of Novoselivka (Dnipropetrovsk region).
