Dmitry “Sektant” Linsky is a fan of the football club “Metalist” (Kharkiv), a representative of the WTF team.
Dmitry Sergeevich Linsky was born on January 08, 1995 in the city of Krasnograd (Kharkiv region). The love of football led the young fan to the Metalist fan stand, and later to the WTF team, which at the beginning of its history was the focus of the youth of the more famous Kharkiv City Patriots. With the beginning of revolutionary events in the country, like the vast majority of the fan population, Dmitry resisted the criminal regime. Seeking freedom for the Ukrainian nation, he joined the Azov movement since 2015. At first it was the Nazi Corps, and in 2016 already a unit of AZOV.
Before joining AZOV, he lived for some time in Kyiv, where he communicated with representatives of the capital's fan movements. Relatives recall that Dmitry was aware in advance that there would be a full-scale invasion of Ukraine, and was constantly preparing for it. He was never afraid of the challenges of fate and was ready to give his life for the Motherland. Among the brothers “Sectant” was always a friend and respected everyone, and most importantly - he was able to appreciate friendship. In recent years, he helped his commander Stanislav Partali, so they became friends. He was very meticulous about his work, and his brothers could always rely on Dmitry. He received awards from the President of Ukraine for participation in ATO.
“Sectant” had many hobbies and loved outdoor activities. In addition to training at the range, boxing and football competitions, he was engaged in diving courses, jumping from a helicopter with a parachute, wanted to go to a sniper shooting competition. I read a lot of books on sniper tactics, and my favorite movie was “American Sniper”. Dmitry was greatly influenced by the death of his brother “Barrett” in March 2018. You could say that this loss changed him a lot. Azov's relatives recall that he was very sensitive to each loss. In those moments, in his eyes there was a thirst for revenge for each of his friends. At the same time, Dmitry was a kind and sincere, caring son, husband and father. At the end of each day, I call my mother and grandmother, which was very important to him.
He lived in a civil marriage with his lover and had many plans for the future. Get married officially in the spring of 2022, buy a house in Mariupol, make a non-native son, whom he raised from the age of six, a world boxing champion. But, unfortunately, these plans were not destined to be fulfilled. Dmitry Linsky fought on February 28, 2022. Sniper of the 2nd Special Purpose Intelligence Detachment of the 1st Bat AZOV performed a combat mission in Mariupol. His last words to his beloved were: “Everything will be fine, I am always with you!”. Between 17:00 and 18:00, Dmitry was gone. The body of the brave Warrior has not yet been returned from Mariupol, but relatives believe that they will be able to say goodbye to Dmitry as he wanted. On March 17, he was awarded the Order “For Courage” of the III degree (posthumously).
