Dmitry “Dlinnyi” Brazhnikov is a fan of the football club “Metalist” (Kharkiv), a representative of the team “Kharkiv City Patriots”.
Dmitry Alexandrovich Brazhnikov was born on May 21, 1985 in the city of Kharkiv. He studied at school number 74. Dmitry first came to the fan stand in 2001 with several of his friends. Actively supported the team at home matches and attended away games. Together with friends, they quickly formed the KCP team. In later years, he became one of those who greatly contributed to the formation of his fan group, as one of the strongest in the country.
Teammates remember “Delny” as a loyal friend and devoted fan who could be relied on in any situation. A fight for his own team, or some life situations - always a little verbose, he just took and did. He spent a lot of time communicating with young people. He had trust and socialized with many members of the younger generation, and for some even became a named father not only in the fan sector, but also in life.
Having married in 2019 with his beloved Alina, Dmitry focused on raising his son and devoted less time to fan affairs. Nevertheless, he was constantly in touch with friends, participated in the events of his team and mass outings of the “Metalist”.
From the first day of a full-scale war, “Delinnyi” took up arms to protect his hometown from enemy invasion. Together with friends from the fan sector, he joined the ranks of the territorial defense unit, on the basis of which the famous special unit “Kraken” would later be formed. On the third day of the defense of Kharkov, Dmitry's best friend in the fan movement, Pavel “Larry”, with whom they were friends for many years, died.
Dmitry Brazhnikov's life was interrupted on March 1, 2022 as a result of a direct hit by an enemy missile into the building of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration. Starting from the moment of the shelling, the brothers could not find Dmitry for a long time, or at least find out any information about him. Over time, it became known that a brave Kharkov resident was one of the 31 dead defenders of the city on that tragic day.
