Daniel “Berserk” Lyashkevich is a fan of the football club “Dynamo” (Kiev), a representative of the team “Berserkers”.
Daniel Viktorovich Lyashkevich was born on January 10, 1995 in the city of Borodyanka (Kiev region). He studied at Borodyan Secondary School and Nemishayev Professional College, after which he received two higher educations: first he mastered the profession of a veterinarian-surgeon at the National University of Biological Resources and Environmental Management of Ukraine, and then graduated from the National Aviation University with a degree in Law. In his youth he was engaged in powerlifting and MMA (participated in all-Ukrainian tournaments and competitions in the region).
He began to support Kyiv Dynamo in the fan sector since the 2014/15 season. Always sought development, was the leader of the fan team “Berserkers”.
In civilian life, Daniel worked as a surgeon in a private veterinary clinic in Kiev. He was the author of scientific articles that were published in the publication “Young Scientist”.
Daniel was an active participant in the events of the Revolution of Dignity on the capital's Maidan, and after the beginning of the Russian invasion in the East in 2014, he volunteered to defend Ukraine. Later he was the head of the Borodyansky branch of the organization “National Corps”. Participated in patriotic actions, during one of which he was brutally beaten by the police and left without signs of life near Mariinsky Park. Then the media hastened to report that Daniel died from the beatings received, but it passed.
In 2011, he met his first wife Anastasia. In the summer of 2017, the couple married, the same year their son Mark was born. But in 2022 - the couple divorced. After that, Daniel married a second time.
With the outbreak of a full-scale war, Berserk joined a volunteer unit, participated in the liberation of Kyiv region, and from May 2022 performed combat missions in the Zaporizhzhya direction as part of the 3rd OSHBR. The brothers remember how the battle group, which included Daniel, managed to capture and take out two enemy anti-tank guns MT-12 Rapira.
From 2023, he performed combat missions in the Bakhmut direction as part of a battery of the artillery intelligence control, where during one of the tours at the observation post he received his first wound in the face, after which he sewed up a wound on his own, and on his way back, evacuated two elderly local residents who could not independently extract to overcome the constant shelling. Repeatedly led adjacent units during reconnaissance, provided first aid. During one of these investigations, he received a gunshot wound to the chest.
From the beginning of 2024, Berserk took part in heavy fighting in Avdiivka, where it set up surveillance systems and provided air reconnaissance work. During one of the attacks, the next enemy KaB was wounded by a fragment. In total, according to the memories of friends in arms, during the service Daniel was wounded about 10 times. From the autumn of the same year he fought as part of a mechanized battalion in the Luhansk and Kharkiv directions.
During a full-scale war, he met his beloved Valeria, a medic, with whom they worked in the same unit. Daniel is said to have been a combination of a brutal warrior with a great sense of humor. Physically developed and mentally strong, he was a specialist in military affairs in particular in the fields of medicine, intelligence, planning, understood in the technical characteristics of various weapons and explosives, constantly improving skills. He entered Kharkiv National Medical University.
During the years of service, he was awarded the honorary badge of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces “Golden Cross”, the Medal “For Military Service to Ukraine”, the Order of the Ministry of Internal Affairs “For Wounding”, and others.
Daniil Lyashkevich died on November 1, 2024 in Kharkiv region. The attack of the enemy KaB did not leave a chance either for his beloved Valeria, and for two more of their brethren. He was buried in the village of Druzhnya in the Kiev region.
