Artem “Sailor” Yakovlev is a fan of the football club “Zarya” (Luhansk).

Artem Yuryevich Yakovlev was born on September 16, 1982 in the city of Luhansk. He studied at school No. 40, after which he entered the Luhansk Vocational and Technical School No. 7. From a young age, he was interested in writing scripts for films. Loved outdoor activities.

He first came to the fan sector “Dawn” in 2004. During the heyday of the fan movement in the country - he supported the team not only in his native Luhansk, but also attended away matches.

In addition to his passion for football, Artem was a member of the patriotic movement and also actively supported the local hardcore scene. Already in adulthood, as a hobby, he continued his childhood passion for writing film scripts. I loved books and weapons.

In 2006, he met his future wife Galina.

He was a true patriot and shortly after the start of the war in 2014 joined the ranks of the newly created Azov. Participated in the defense of the country, with a short break in civilian life. According to the memories of his relatives, most of all Artem dreamed of liberating his native Luhansk.

Teammates remember Artem as a man with a big heart and an apt blow, for the love and protection of his native land.

The beginning of a full-scale war “Sailor” met in the ranks of the 93rd OmbR “Kholodny Yar”. He served as the commander of the department of the engineering sapper platoon.

Artem Yakovlev died on October 13, 2022 near Soledar (Donetsk region). Pulling out his brothers, he came under mortar fire. He commanded his relatives and brothers to scatter his ashes over the waters of the Siversky Donets river in the liberated Luhansk region. The time will come when his last will is fulfilled.
