Andrei “Coach” Romanov is a fan of the football club “Volyn” (Lutsk), a representative of the team “Volyn Dogs Firm”.
Andrei Sergeevich Romanov from childhood grew up a real warrior and was a patriot of his Motherland. All his life he devoted to sports, and aimed to instill in the younger generation the love of a healthy lifestyle. He repeatedly acted as an organizer of sports events in his native Lutsk. As Andriy himself noted, the main goal of these competitions was to pick up young people from the streets and teach them something useful. He had considerable authority among the fan movement “Volyn” and was the leader of one of the groups - V.D.F. It can be said that he was one of those who actually started the peri-football movement in the city, in its modern sense.
And although in recent years Andrei Romanov did not appear so often in the Volyn sector, everyone knew him as a courageous, strong spirit and just fighter. Therefore, he could not stand aside from the events that befell the fate of our country. From the first day he volunteered to defend his native lands from the invaders. He deservedly showed himself on the front lines and even managed to become the commander of one of the units. He successfully fulfilled all the tasks and made a personal contribution to the liberation of Kyiv region from the invaders.
Andrei Romanov died in battle with Russian occupiers in Kiev region. It happened on March 31, during the execution of a combat mission. Three children were left without a father, the youngest of whom at that time was not even a year old.
