Memory matches are a special direction of the “Tribune of Heroes” foundation, because memory is alive while we remember. And if before fans supported their teams in the stands, now - clubs and footballers support the loved ones of those who gave their lives at the front.

Memory match against FC “Karpaty”

The Memorial match began with a moment of silence in honor of the loyal fans returning from the war “on the shield”, and children from the families of the fallen Heroes accompanied the teams onto the field. The first symbolic blow in the game was made by 15-year-old Anna and 16-year-old Yarina, daughters of Taras Chuchman, a representative of the fan movement of Lviv “Carpathians”.

Another hero of the match was 12-year-old Markiyan - nephew of Rostislav “Drohobych” Shiyk. The young fan visited the fan sector “Carpathians” and supported his hometown club together with Lviv ultras.

Memory match against FC Dynamo

Before the start of the match, the family visited the Dynamo Museum, as well as a tour of the home stadium of the Kyiv residents, and the game itself was accompanied by important calls to remember and not forget those who will forever remain at the Heroes Stand.

Children from the families of the fallen Heroes accompanied the teams to the field. The first symbolic blow in the game was made by 8-year-old Sava and 9-year-old Anastasia - children from the families of representatives of the Dynamo FC fan movement: Maxim Yalovtsov and Ruslan Kurulyak.

Memory match with FC Kryvbas

The match in Kryvyi Rih was emotional. The meeting began with a moment of silence in honor of the loyal fans who returned from the war “on the shield”.

The first symbolic blow in the game was made by Ivan Grachev - the son of the fighter Azov, a fan of the Kryvyi Rih Club Maxim “Sima” Grachev. Also, Ivan Grachev became a commentator in the arena, trying himself in a new role.

UPL Memory Tour

One of the rounds of the Ukrainian football championship was declared the “Memory Tour”. The matches here began with a moment of silence in honor of the football fans who gave their lives defending their native land.

In addition, three of the eight meetings of the reporting tour began with the return to the field of the families of the fallen soldiers. The game between Dynamo and Luhansk “Zorya” in Kyiv was started by the children of Alexei “Soldier” Rubtsov - a famous fan of the capital club. For the symbolic first shot on the ball before the match between Veres and SC “Dnipro-1", the wife of Vitaly “Vitahi” Stiba, a representative of the fan movement of Rivne, was invited. The game between Shakhtar and Rukh in Lviv was attended by the families of Vyacheslav “Syavy” Matvienko and Roman “Sedogo” Kuzin, loyal fans of the Donetsk club.
